The Pelican Rope S-12 Synthetic Stainless Rope Offers The Benefits Of Stainless Steel Wire Rope But At A Fraction Of The Weight. This Rope Is Constructed From A 12-Strand Single Braid And Made Using Proprietary Honeywell Spectra Fiber Enhanced With Our Own S-12 Special Coating.

Like Stainless Steel, The Synthetic Stainless Rope Is Hydrophobic; Meaning That It Will Not Absorb Water Or Corrode. This Rope Has Excellent Chemical And Abrasion Resistance, And Exceptional Flex Fatigue.

The S-12 Synthetic Stainless Rope Can Float And Maintains Strength Even In Freezing Temperatures. It Has An Excellent Low-Temperature Performance With A Melting Point At 300 F And Loss Of Strength At 150 F.
